Adolescent Migraine Headaches

DOES YOUR ADOLESCENT EXPERIENCE MIGRAINE ATTACKS?

This migraine study assesses the safety and effectiveness of an investigational study medication for treating symptoms of a migraine attack in adolescents 12 to 17 years of age.

Qualified participants will receive all study-related care and study medication at no cost.

Study volunteers are not required to complete this online survey in order to be considered for participation in this study. The purpose of this online survey is for us to collect your contact information as well as a brief medical history to help determine your eligibility.

Is your child between the ages of 12-17 years old?


Does your child weigh at least 44 pounds (20 kg)


Is your child willing to remain awake at least 2 hours following dose of study drug?


If your child is currently taking medication for migraine headaches, has the medication remained the same for the previous 3 months?


Can your child describe the pain from headaches as originating from only one side of the head (unilateral) or from multiple sides of the head (bilateral)?




Has your child been suffering from migraine headaches for at least 6 months?


Has your child experienced between 1-8 moderate to severe migraine headaches a month during the prior 2 months?
This can include headaches that would have become moderate to severe had they not been treated with medication.


Has your child shown a hypersensitivity or an allergic reaction to rizatriptan (Maxalt)?


Would you describe your child's migraine headaches as lasting at least 3 hours in duration?


Do your child's migraine headaches resolve themselves without medication within 2 hours?
